Voices of Light

Voices of Light is a 30-voice volunteer choir comprised of singers from the greater Sacramento area. Our mission is to bring through our performances and the power of music the spirit of light and truth as we testify of our Savior Jesus Christ and all facets of our relationship with Him.

Voices of Light is available for performances appropriate for a variety of venues: sacrament meetings, firesides, concerts, and performances of all types. We sing original music written by David Hasson in a variety of styles spanning the gamut from sacred hymns and anthems to jazz, pop, and country. The unique and commanding music focuses on our Savior Jesus Christ, with many lyrics taken directly from the scriptures. David’s music eloquently explores our relationship with Christ in all its dynamic forms. His message touches spirit-to-spirit the hearts of everyone, regardless of religious affiliation.

Voices of Light can perform a few numbers from our repertoire or a full hour-plus fireside on a topic of your choice, complete with narration and slide presentation. Some fireside topics include “Come Home – A Missionary Fireside,” “The Miraculous Rebirth,” “The Book of Mormon,” “Foundations, Restoration, and Hope.”

Recruiting

Voices of Light choir is now recruiting singers for our 2009-2010 season. We are looking for experienced choral singers who can read music or memorize parts quickly and who want to be a part of this exciting and dynamic group. We are especially in need of tenors. Our singers come from all of the Sacramento area. We rehearse once a week, Tuesday evenings from 8:30-10:00 pm in Roseville. We perform once or twice a month on average. Non-LDS singers who enjoy Christ-centered music are welcome also.
